“Gardening for Biodiversity” was the topic of the final presentation of the Camden Garden Club’s 2018 Winter Horticulture Series at Camden Public Library on Tuesday, February 27 at 10:00 a.m.
Marjorie Peronto, a professor for the University of Maine Cooperative Extension, has been teaching courses in fruit and vegetable gardening, ecological landscaping and pruning for 26 years. Reeser Manley has gardened in South Carolina, Washington State (while earning a Ph.D. in Horticultural Science), Massachusetts and, for the last 15 years, Maine. Together they discussed the importance of planting for biodiversity in our gardens and introduce their book, "The Life in Your Garden: Gardening for Biodiversity."
