When is the Garden Tour?

Camden Garden Club’s 2024 Annual Garden Tour takes place on Thursday, July 18, 2024.

What time is the Garden Tour?

Garden Tour properties are open from 10 am to 4 pm. Last entry to each property is at 3:30 pm.

Where is the Garden Tour?

This year’s Garden Tour includes private properties in Camden and Rockport as well as The Norumbega Inn and Merryspring Nature Center in Camden. Specific property locations will be available on the Camden Garden club website in late June and in the Tour Program, available on Tour Day.

What happens if it rains?

The Garden Tour is held rain or shine.

Can I bring a child on the Tour?

The Garden Tour is not appropriate for children; all children must have a ticket except babies in arms.

Is the Garden Tour handicap accessible?

Garden Tour properties are not handicap accessible. Please use caution traversing lawns and crossing streets.

Is the Garden Tour walkable?

Although some locations may be within walking distance, driving will make the tour more enjoyable. We recommend carpooling to help mitigate traffic and parking congestion. The Tour Program – available on Tour Day at each participating property and at Tour Headquarters – will identify all locations on a map with distances between each indicated.

Where can I buy a ticket?

  • Tickets may be purchased online beginning May 1st at camdengardenclub.org.

  • Beginning in mid-June, tickets may be purchased at several locations in the Midcoast area. including the Camden Public Library, Plants Unlimited, and other locations.  A complete list of participating establishments is forthcoming.

  • On Tour Day, tickets may be purchased at Tour Headquarters at the Camden Public Landing or at the Camden Public Library.

I purchased a ticket but am unable to attend; can I get a refund?

Tickets are non-refundable without exceptions.

I purchased a ticket online; where and when can I pick it up?

Tickets purchased online may be picked up on Tour Day at Tour Headquarters at the Camden Public Landing beginning at 9 am.

Do I need a receipt to pick up my pre-purchased ticket?

No, the staff at Tour Headquarters will be able to validate your purchase with the last name of the credit cardholder who purchased the ticket. However, it helps facilitate the process if you show a print- out or the online receipt via your smart phone.

Where can I park to pick up my pre-purchased ticket?

Limited parking is available at the Public Landing, including several 15 minute parking spaces. Alternatively, there is street parking in Camden and public parking lots on Mechanic Street. We encourage all Tourgoers to consider carpooling to mitigate traffic and parking congestion.

Are public restrooms available on the Garden Tour?

Restrooms are not available at private properties on the Garden Tour. Public restrooms are available at the Public Landing in Camden. The map in the Tour Program identifies the location of public restrooms.

Where can I buy lunch?

There are many lunch options in the area including numerous coffee shops and restaurants on Main Street, Elm Street, and Bay View Street in Camden. Visit the Penobscot Bay Chamber of Commerce at the Camden Public Landing for specific suggestions.
